Shelburne’s own Pill-Maharam Architects have been named Efficiency Vermont’s Residential New Construction Partner of the Year. The honor recognizes excellence, commitment, and innovation in the creation of energy saving homes in Vermont.
Efficiency Vermont’s annual Better Buildings by Design conference in Burlington hosted more than 1,000 of the Northeast’s top building design professionals and construction tradespeople. This is the region’s leading design and construction conference that offers industry-specific learning in building durability, efficiency, and value for residential and commercial buildings.
Founded in 1991, Pill-Maharam Architects offer comprehensive architectural services for institutional, commercial, and residential clients. The firm holds past honors from the Sustainable Building Industry Council, the American Institute of Architects Vermont, the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, and Metropolitan Home.
“David Pill and Pill-Maharam Architects have been committed partners with Efficiency Vermont for many years and strive to achieve high levels of energy efficiency in every home they design,” says Efficiency Vermont Director Jim Merriam. “Their exemplary buildings integrate innovative ideas and leading-edge design to result in homes with very low heating and cooling loads. They are always willing to share ideas and to consider new ways to transform the market toward high-efficiency homes.”
