Vermont Federal Credit Union (VFCU) is now accepting scholarship applications until April 5. Two $2,000 scholarships will be granted to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade school, or university for the fall of 2013 or spring of 2014 semesters. Additionally, two $2,000 scholarships will be offered to students of any age who have been accepted to, or are enrolled in, an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade school, or university for the fall of 2013 or spring of 2014 semesters.
Applicants are asked to write about their student and community leadership activities, what factors lead them to selecting the school they plan to attend, as well as an essay question. The complete application and eligibility requirements can be found at www.vermontfederal.org. Recipients will be notified by June 30 and will be selected based on their academic achievements, enthusiasm for their planned field of study, and service to the community.
Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee has provided scholarships to high school students for more than nine years and is excited to be able to provide this benefit to its membership.
