CVU students capture debate awards at States

The freshman partnership of Champlain Valley’s Alec Collins and Alex von Stange of Shelburne produced a Top Novice Team Award at the Vermont Principals’ Association 2013 Vermont High School Debate & Forensics Tournament on Monday, March 11 at the Statehouse. Von Stange was also named 5th Speaker overall, in all grades, at all experience levels, while CVU’s Abby Keim was named 6th Speaker. CVU Debate is coached by social studies teacher Christine O’Donnell.
