Tuesday Afternoon Storytime: Join local teen Sebastian Lissarraque for Tuesday afternoon story time at 3:30 pm weekly. Come hear some favorite stories read aloud, hand-picked by a storyteller who grew up reading them in this very library! No need to register for this free program.
eMaterials Workshop: Call the library at 985-5124 to reserve a place in the eMaterials Workshop on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30 am. Bring your own iPad, Nook, Kindle, laptop or other electronic device to learn how to download eBooks, listen to Audiobooks, or watch videos. Virgil Fuller, the former Listen Up! Vermont coordinator, will teach you how to access the library’s eMaterials. You will be surprised how much is available online and free of charge!
Walking Distance: “Extraordinary Hikes for Ordinary People”: You are invited to a special presentation by Robert and Martha Manning in the Town Hall Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 pm. The Mannings, who have lived in Burlington for 37 years, have walked dozens of long-distance trails around the world and have collected beautiful photos during their hikes. The photographs have now been published in a book that provides informative tips for you on why, how, and where to walk from the Long Trail in Vermont to the Inca Trail in Peru to Cotswold Way in England to the Tour du Mont Blanc and places in between! Come be inspired by their travels and begin planning your own hikes when spring weather finally arrives.
