Town Planner Dean Pierce appeared before the Development Review Board (DRB) at its meeting on March 20 to announce that DRB Administrator Courtney Synowiec would be leaving at the end of March, thanked her for her work, and stated that “we’re sorry to see her go.” The DRB Chair added that it had been a pleasure to work with Synowiec and the DRB is also sorry to lose her. Interim support for the DRB may be provided by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission.
In other action, the DRB approved a site plan application by Shelburne Limestone Corporation to construct an 18,000 square foot storage building on their property at 688 Quarry Road. Chris Palmer, an adjacent landowner, endorsed the application stating that Shelburne Limestone was a very good neighbor and the storage building would not impede their view.
The DRB conducted a site visit at 1240 Webster Road to view the property William Posey intends to subdivide into five residential lots. DRB Chair David Conard reported that they will discuss their site visit at the time Posey’s final plan application is considered.
The next meeting of the DRB will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 pm in the Town Center.
