“Consider yourself one of us” and enter the world of one of Charles Dickens’ most beloved characters—Oliver Twist. Lyric Theatre Company brings the musical version of this classic story to the Flynn MainStage for five performances from April 11 through 14.

Lyric’s 55-member cast, featuring 32 area youth and teens, hails from 17 Vermont communities. In fact, 26 cast members are making their Lyric debut with this production. Timothy Maynes is the Artistic Director and the show’s energetic choreographer is Kim Nowlan. Music Director Martin Hain waves the baton for the orchestra while Rob Parzych serves as production supervisor.

The local communities of Shelburne, Charlotte, and Hinesburg are strongly represented in this performance. Notable cast members from the area include Cole Guerriere, “Noah Claypole;” Anna Cataldo, Greta Powers, Avery Smith, and Oscar Williams, “Workhouse Kids;” Ian Ferris, Christopher Hart, and Scott Remick, “Ensemble;” and Pearl Guerriere and Warren Ouellette, “Fagin’s Gang.” Photographer Karen Pike is documenting the show as it progresses from rehearsal to finished production.
