SCS student wins gymnastics championship again


Shelburne Community School fourth grader Delaney Miller-Bottoms, above, won the individual level 5 state gymnastics championship for ages 9-10 years old for the second consecutive year. She placed first in each event: floor, vault, bars, beam, and all-around with a score of 38.3. Her level 5 team, including teammates Reid Brown, Gracie Baker, Mercedes Bushey, and Ida Mae Danforth, also won the state championship. For the past six years Miller-Bottoms has trained at Regal Gymnastics and he current coaches are Paul Beach, Heather Bartlett, and Laura Reeves. She was also the state champion for level 4 in 2011 and 2010.
