News from the Pierson Library

Join the Daytime Book Club at Pierson Library: Eight patrons of the library form the core group of the Daytime Book Club which meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 10:30 am. You are cordially invited to join them!  The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:30 am to discuss “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” by Carson McCullers. If you haven’t read this novel – or are looking for an excuse to re-read it, come by the library, pick up a copy, and join the discussion on April 17.

Nightime Book Club Option: The Pierson Library also sponsors an evening Book Club which usually meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. This month, however, the Book Club will be meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30 pm to discuss “The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes. We have an extra copy of this book if you’d like to borrow it and join us for the discussion on April 9.

eMaterials Workship: Our first eMaterials workshop proved to be so popular that we’ve scheduled another session for those of you who aren’t quite certain how to download eBooks, listen to eAudiobooks or watch videos on your on iPad, Nook, Kindle, or computer. You are missing out on a lot of free materials available electronically through Pierson Library!  The next session will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 pm. Seating is limited because we want this to be a very interactive session. Call 985-5124 to reserve your space today.
