At its meeting on April 17, the Development Review Board (DRB) moved quickly through its agenda, giving final plan approval to the Webster Ridge subdivision and preliminary plan approval to the Salamander Lane subdivision off Northside Drive. The findings of fact related to these plans formalized the discussion at their previous meeting. They also speedily reapproved a boundary line adjustment between the First United Methodist Church and St. Catherine of Sienna Parish to correct an administrative glitch when documents were not properly recorded shortly after the original approval was given.
The remainder of the brief meeting was devoted to considering minor changes requested by the Shelburne Museum in the course of building their new Center for Art and Education. The Museum requested and was given approval to retain one building originally scheduled for demolition on a temporary basis to serve as a security office, to move the utility pad approximately 50 feet north of its initially proposed location, to change their landscaping plan by adding more shrubs but eliminating seven trees, and to install an additional light that will conform with town standards.
The next meeting of the DRB will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 7 pm in the Municipal Center.
