Everyone loves a parade, especially one that celebrates Little League Opening Day. This Saturday morning, May 4 at 8:45 am sharp Shelburne Little Leaguers will march through the village to celebrate the official start of baseball and softball season. Players, coaches, parents, and Champ will make the annual trek from the village green, led by a Shelburne fire truck a few “mini” Coopers from the Automaster, and the Rice Memorial Drum Line, to South Field for official Opening Day ceremonies. Following the ceremonies attendees are encouraged to enjoy exhibition games, a home run derby, a bake sale and silent auction, a bounce castle, Joey the Clown, and face painting. Don’t miss Opening Day—it’s always a hit.
