The Annual Northwest Regional 4-H Day, April 20, in Essex Junction provided a platform for 4-H’ers from four counties to share what they’ve learned in 4-H projects and club activities.
The University of Vermont (UVM) Extension event, held at Essex High School, featured more than 100 youths, ages 5 to 18, from Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties. They participated in action exhibits, stage presentations, clothing revue, illustrated talks, and other activities.
In addition to earning ribbons, many of the participants, ages 8 and up, were selected to perform again at 4-H State Day, May 18, at the Barre Civic Center in Barre. The following local students and groups were selected:
Action exhibit: Midnight Riders, Hinesburg (Wrap It Before Germs Attack It)
Photography: Caroline Hobbs, Hinesburg
Stage presentation (group): Prancing Ponies, Shelburne (skit, dance)
