Area golfers will gather at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes to compete in the annual Vert Mont International Executive Housekeeper’s Association (IEHA) HowardCenter Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, May 17. Now in its 18th year, the event has raised more than $116,000 to support programs for youth served by HowardCenter. For several years, contributions from the event have benefited HowardCenter’s Outdoor Challenge Program.
The Outdoor Challenge Program is a year-round program that annually serves about 100 children in HowardCenter’s residential and day treatment programs. The program provides after-school, weekend, and summer outdoor activities that are therapeutic and provide growth opportunities.
Ed Vizvarie, Shelburne resident and director of HowardCenter Facilities, is the registrar for the tournament. For more information or to register, contact him at (802) 488-6970 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
