Elizabeth Zehr, a 1996 Champlain Valley Union graduate and former Shelburne resident, joins Patent Portfolio Management (PPM) as an IP Planning Patent Portfolio Manager in the organization. She will work with various integrated teams to support completion of ETS Core and Key IP plans and to otherwise support the PPM managers during the year.
Zehr has a Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in Seattle, Wash. and a master’s degree in aerospace from Washington University in St. Louis. Her undergraduate bachelor’s degrees are in mechanical engineering and physics.
She comes to PPM after spending over two years with the IPM Policy, Planning & Protection group, where she was a strategy and protection specialist. Prior to that Zehr was employed by Lee and Hayes LLP in Seattle, Wash. where she was a practicing patent attorney.
A former Boeing employee, Zehr worked as a Structural Dynamics Engineer on the P8-A program. She has presented at numerous technical and legal conferences in and outside of Boeing and was awarded Young Professional Engineer of the Year by AIAA in 2005.
Zehr is the daughter of Thane and Peter Butt of Shelburne.
