Long-time Shelburne resident Erica Richard recently celebrated 25 years as an employee of the American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA). Richard was honored at a dinner reception in Springfield, Mass. on April 26 with fellow co-workers and the AMHA Board of Directors.
Currently the registrar of the American Morgan Horse Registry, Richard has held several different positions throughout her tenure at AMHA, including a focus on youth services and as the Director of Membership. She was one of the first employees of the Association when it moved to Shelburne in 1988.
Richard resides in Shelburne with her husband, Kraig, and her son, Jeremy, a freshman at CVU.
Founded in 1909, the American Morgan Horse Association is a non-profit organization serving more than 50,000 Morgan horse owners, breeders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts throughout the United States. AMHA serves as a parent organization to more than 90 recognized Morgan horse clubs and national service organizations.
