The Champlain Classic enjoys its 23rd Year: Over 240 runners participated in the race held on Sunday, May 5 and 25 kids participated in the free Kids 1K Race. A special thanks to all the volunteers that helped to make this event successful including Brian Killkelly and all the many volunteers who make this race possible. Thanks to Associates in Orthodontics, Hannaford’s, Fleet Feet, and Shelburne Supermarket for sponsoring this event and the Automaster for providing the Lead Car. Fall Soccer registration deadline is Friday, May 24. Please use the separate registration form for the Fall Soccer program (pick up at office or print from our website). Complete one form per child. Children entering grades 1-8 in Sept. eligible. Uniform shirts and shin guards required. This program is run by volunteers. We need your help! Please fill out the volunteer section on the registration form. We will provide training for coaches and referees.
BikeFest 2013: Third annual BikeFest on May 25th at the front entrance of the Shelburne Town Hall. Free bike tune-ups, helmet and bike fittings along with helmet decorating or obtaining a new helmet for a small donation. New this year will be a Spring Community Ride supported by Local Motion and led by Police Office, Josh Flore at 1 pm. Pre-registration is encouraged and the first 35 registered who complete the two-mile ride will get a BikeFest t-shirt! Register with the Recreation Department at 985-9551.
The Shelburne Village Dog Park will be closed for maintenance on Sat., May 11 from 9am-12pm. Anyone interested in volunteering to help is welcome to come! However, please no dogs at the park during this time.
