Food Shelf critically short of supplies, funding

According to Val Martel, director of the Shelburne Food Shelf, the shelves are at dangerously low levels of inventory. She is asking all residents who can to assist to do so by donating non-perishable boxed and canned goods. Martel is specifically looking for the following items:

Hamburger Helper and Rice-a-Roni boxed dishes

Canned meats: tuna, chicken, and ham

Peanut butter

Jams and jellies

Pastas and pasta sauces

Cans and boxes should be dropped off at the Food Shelf, located in the Shelburne Town Offices on the first floor, next to the Rec. Dept. activity rooms. Look for signs.

The Shelburne Food Shelf is also low on funding. All contributions can be sent to Town Clerk Colleen Haag at P.O. Box 88, Shelburne, Vt. 05482.
