The South Burlington and Champlain Valley Union Varsity baseball and softball teams will partner to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The teams, sporting special purple and pink jerseys to promote awareness, will sponsor simultaneous Strike Out Cancer baseball and softball games at South Burlington High School at 4:30 pm. Events include a bake sale, ribbon sales, concessions, and raffle tickets for a variety of prizes. Tickets will be available for purchase at the games on Thursday, May 23.
All money raised will go directly to the American Cancer Society with all funds staying right here in Vermont. The goal of the Strike Out Cancer program is to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living amount students, faculty, school staff, fans, and the community at large, through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
South Burlington and Champlain Valley Union communities are encouraged to come and cheer on their teams and support this worthy cause!
