Strike Out Cancer games postponed to June 1

Because of torrential rain over the past five days the Strike Out Cancer baseball and softball games were postponed until Saturday, June 1 at South Burlington High School. On Saturday the South Burlington and Champlain Valley Union Varsity baseball and softball teams sporting special purple and pink jerseys to promote awareness will sponsor simultaneous Strike Out Cancer baseball and softball games at 3 pm on June 1. Events include a bake sale, ribbon sales, concessions, and raffle tickets for a variety of prizes. Tickets will be available for purchase at the games.

All money raised will go directly to the American Cancer Society with all funds staying right here in Vermont. The goal of the Strike Out Cancer program is to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living amount students, faculty, school staff, fans, and the community at large, through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.

South Burlington and Champlain Valley Union communities are encouraged to come and cheer on their teams and support this worthy cause!
