The Town Plan says no. Our Selectboard should say no. Why is it that the citizens of Shelburne must constantly fight to have our elected officials read and interrupt the Town Plan and zoning as stated? This is for the same developer. We see the O’Brien name come up every few years because he doesn’t seem to want to develop the land he purchased as “rural,” as rural development. He is constantly coming to the Selectboard and asking for exceptions and they seem to be allowing some of these changes to take place. Everyone has the right to ask for exceptions, but these big issues of changing our town’s zoning and sewer district just to make more money. Just (politely) say “No, and thank you for your interest” – end of story.
