The Champlain Valley Union Fitness Center will be open to all beginning Monday, June 24 from 7-10 am and 3-6 pm, Monday through Friday, throughout the summer except for July 4. National Strength and Conditioning Association certified trainer, Rahn Fleming, will oversee the fitness center. His mission is to teach safety, proper technique, and instill a love of the lifestyle – always remembering each individual’s specific needs and where he/she is on the learning curve.
There will be two (2) two-week periods where the morning hours will be “trimmed” to share the space with summer session personal fitness classes. From June 19 through June 28, and again from July 15 through July 26, the morning hours will be 7-8:30 am. The center will stay open later on mornings that the class does not need the space, but there is no way to currently know when those mornings will be. Evening hours will be the same, 3-6 pm, throughout the summer.
The service is open to CVU students, including incoming freshmen, alum, CSSU employees, and all community members from our five feeder towns. It is free-of-charge as a way to say “thanks for your support” and to give back to the community that makes so much of CVU possible.
