Stella is a sweet girl, but she doesn’t sing. So it’s a good thing that Folk by Association will perform a benefit concert to support Shelburne Village Dog Park at Shelburne Vineyard First Thursday series on July 4 from 6 to 8:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. Folino’s Wood Fired Pizza and wine by the glass are available for purchase.

The dog park began as a volunteer-based town committee that envisioned a place where dogs could run free. Thanks to community member Fred Tiballi, who donated the land, the two-plus acre park opened in the spring of last year. Fundraising for improvements is an ongoing project and Shelburne Vineyard’s generous offer to make the park the beneficiary of the July 4 concert is much appreciated.

Stop by the Vineyard next Thursday and enjoy a performance that combines elements of folk, roots, bluegrass, jazz, and world music by Folk By Association, have a glass of wine and something to eat, and support the dog park at the same time. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Shelburne Village Dog Park. No doubt Stella will appreciate your efforts.
