Call for art benefits Vermont Cancer Center

There are many organizations raising funds for cancer research, however, most of those funds do not directly benefit patients here in Vermont.

South Village, located at the corner of Allen Road East and Spear Street in South Burlington, will be hosting a fundraising event to benefit research, education, and prevention efforts at the Vermont Cancer Center.

South Village will host a silent art auction Thursday, Sept. 19 and is seeking donations of art, that includes paintings, prints, photography, or sculpture, created by patients, family and friends affected by cancer or other donations of art which might inspire a sense of healing, hope, and inspiration.

Commitments for art donations are requested by July 15.  Final art pieces can be delivered to South Village, 130 Allen Road East in South Burlington by Aug. 30.

If you are an artist, or are interested in donating personal art, or just interested in attending the event, please contact Tish DiRuocco at South Village Realty for more information: or (802) 861-7600.

The University of Vermont Foundation will provide a receipt to in-kind donors recognizing their donation in description only, and it is up to the donor to submit proof of value when submitting for personal tax purposes.
