The Shelburne 11/12 All Stars stormed into first round pool play with a combination of deep and powerful hitting together with lights out pitching. In the 25-0 victory, the entire Shelburne team contributed to the win as every player had at least one of the 21 hits while committing only one strike out in 40 plate appearances. Both Andrew Snell and Collin Vincent put exclamation points on the teams’ batting by pounding home runs over the center field fence.  On the mound, pitcher Hank Caswell was outstanding, not only pitching a very rare no hit game but was one errant toss shy of an even more exceptional, “perfect game.” He allowed only 13 batters to come to the plate and made all 12 outs, 11 by strike out, in the shortened four inning game.

The 11/2 All Star games will be played at Schifilliti Field in Burlington. Tournament updates for the 11/12, 10/11, and 9/10 can be found via the Shelburne Baseball website at www.shelburnebaseball.com.
