The Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s TD Bank Summer Festival Tour brings picnicking, music, and fireworks to Shelburne on Thursday, July 4. Broadway star Sara Jean Ford joins the VSO with hits from the Great American Songbook. Vocal numbers by Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, and George Gershwin share the spotlight with irresistible Benny Goodman big band tunes. Orchestral favorites from the world of opera add drama, fantasy, and exoticism to the theme. As always, the concert closes with the spectacular 1812 Overture, marches, and fireworks. The concert at Shelburne Farms begins at 7:30 pm, with Anthony Princiotti conducting. Gates open at 5:15 pm for picnicking.
