First, second, and third grade classroom teachers are invited to apply for a grant-funded fellowship to attend the Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator training at no cost Aug. 5-8 at the Stern Center for Language and Learning.
The Stern Center is an Orton-Gillingham Academy accredited training site. The Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator training teaches participants the knowledge and training needed to deliver beginning literacy instruction in the classroom. Utilizing direct instruction, teachers will be able to bring a multi-sensory, structured, sequential, phonics, and linguistic approach into the mainstream classroom.
