Cruise into Shelburne’s History Aug. 16

As part of the Town of Shelburne’s celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of its Charter, all community members are invited to participate in a “Cruise into Shelburne’s History” on Friday evening Aug. 16.  The use and operation of the ferry M/V Champlain is generously being made available to the town by the Pecor and Gobeille families.

The excursion will take place from 6:30 to 8 pm, leaving from the King Street Ferry Dock rain or shine, and cruising the historic Shelburne shoreline. On board on the lower deck will be surprise guest storytellers, a fascinating display of images from earlier times, snacks donated by Shelburne restaurateurs, and a cash bar.  The upper deck is open for those who simply want to take in the fresh air and enjoy the view. The lower deck is handicap accessible.

Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults.  Tickets, which are limited to 300, will go on sale on a date to be publicly announced in the Shelburne News.
