Stanley M. Siple – Burlington

Stanley M. Siple, 89, went to the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2013, and is now reunited with his beloved wife, Lorraine (Blair) Siple, who predeceased him on Feb. 7, 1987. He was born in Burlington on Sept. 1, 1923, the son of Samuel and Lucile (Morrill) Siple of Waterbury. He served his country honorably during World War II with the U.S. Army in the European Theater, including the horrific Battle of the Bulge in Germany. Stanley was employed at Green Mountain Power and Vermont Gas Systems for 36 years. He was an avid sports fan, including the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants, and loved spending time with family and friends. Among his survivors is a daughter-in-law, Kathy Siple of Shelburne. A graveside service with committal prayers was held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Thursday, July 18, 2013, with full military honors accorded by the Vermont Army National Guard.
