CVU’s Haley leads Vermont to All Star win

The Green Mountain State dominated the Granite State during the New Hampshire Lions Twin State All-Star boys soccer game at Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, N.H. Saturday, July 20. Champlain Valley Union’s prolific scorer and recently-graduated senior Shane Haley tallied three times to lead Vermont past New Hampshire 5-2. He opened the scoring at 19 minutes and then scored two more times at the 39th and 70th minute respectively. For his efforts, Haley was named Vermont’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). CVU’s Noah Lieberman played alongside Haley for the Green Mountain State.

The Vermont Girls All Stars team that included CVU’s Kate Razska, Taylor Goldsborough, and Lily Harris lost to New Hampshire 1-0 in a highly contested game. Goldsborough was named Vermont’s MVP.
