Residents graduate from GIV summer institutes

The following Shelburne high school students graduated from the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont’s (GIV) eight summer institutes:

  • Nikolas Baya, Champlain Valley Union High School, Mathematics
  • David Tamas-Parris, Home-schooled, Mathematics

GIV provides intensive hands-on academic programs on college campuses for Vermont high school students. Students must apply and be recommended by their schools to attend. GIV currently offers summer institutes in Arts, Asian Cultures, Current Issues & Youth Activism, Engineering, Environmental Science & Technology, Information Technology, and Mathematical Sciences, as well as a Special Topics Institute on Farms, Food and Your Future.
