Seventeen Vermont vineyards and wineries are hosting the annual statewide Open House Weekend on Aug. 17 and 18 to celebrate the fermented bounty of our small state. The Open House Weekend gives visitors an opportunity to taste wine made from grapes and other fruit, ice ciders, and honey mead; tour vineyards not usually open to the public; and learn about wine-making in cold climates directly from the winemakers. It’s free to visit all participating locations (some wineries charge a small fee for tasting).
Vineyards and wineries participating in the Open House Weekend include: Artesano Mead, Boyden Valley Winery, Champlain Orchards, East Shore Vineyard, Eden Ice Cider, Fresh Tracks Farm, Grand View Winery, Hall Home Place Ice Cider, Huntington River Vineyard, Lincoln Peak Vineyard, Mad River Vineyard, Neshobe River Winery, North Branch Vineyards, Otter Valley Winery, Shelburne Vineyard, Snow Farm Vineyard, and Sugarbush Farm & Vineyard.
