A set of circumstances and the talent of a generous band converge to make an unforgettable benefit concert for the Vergennes Opera House. The blues rock band The Royal Southern Brotherhood will take to the stage Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 7:30 pm. This group features the incredible musical talent of Cyril Neville (of the Neville Brothers), Devon Allman (son of Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band), and award-winning blues ace Mike Zito (with Ronrico Scott and Charlie Wooton). Tickets are available online by visiting the Vergennes Opera House website; they can also be picked up at Classic Stitching on Main Street in Vergennes or at Pure Pop Records in Burlington.
“This is an exciting time for the Opera House organization,” said Friends of the Vergennes Opera House Interim President, Gerianne Smart. “We now have a robust board of 14 energetic and enthusiastic people and this is a terrific up-beat project for us to work together on as a team.” Recently, the Friends of the Vergennes Opera House went through a reorganization and are working on a strategic plan that will map out a sustainable future.
