Kids Day at Shelburne Farmers Market – young farmers get a chance to sell their veggies, flowers, and crafts on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Hot on the heels of a super successful Shelburne Day, the Shelburne Business and Professional Association (SBPA) is welcoming the children of Shelburne to get into the act at Shelburne Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Children’s Day (or Youth Day, if you prefer) will be an opportunity for local youngsters and teens who have been tending their gardens all summer to sell vegetables, fruit, and flowers (or craft items) at a table they will set up at the Farmers Market. Their wares will be featured with a bright, colorful and creative sign promoting their products.

Anyone wishing to participate should send an application by Aug. 31. Applications and complete information can be obtained by calling Tod Whitaker at 985-2472 or emailing tod.whitaker@gmail.com. And note: children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent.
New members welcomed

In the past few weeks, the SBPA has welcomed four new members:

KL Mountain Sports is open in the former Ann Roche Furniture shop at 2613 Shelburne Road. Will Vinci, owner of the North Face Store in Burlington, is selling premium outdoor brands and promises the best deals on camping and hiking gear.

Naturally Cool Vermont owner Jeff Kapsalis grew up in Shelburne and has returned to own a new tile and carpentry business. His specialty is whole house cooling systems that he demonstrated on Shelburne Day – enjoying one of the perks of being a member of SBPA. Jeff’s business is at 4901 Dorset St and his phone is 858-5009. Call if you want to be cool like Jeff!

Vintage Chic by Bri is named for Brianne Taylor whose business is a treasure trove of interesting and colorful clothing, furniture, and fun gift ideas. She also has a great blog filled with stories about her “finds” and her daughters and her chickens. The shop is at 5462 Shelburne Rd., between the Town offices and Shelburne Museum. Contact her at (802) 735-1227

PT 036, a physical therapy practice, is a new resident of Shelburne and is located in the Shelburne Green complex just south of the village. They are the third PT 360 therapy location in the area, joining the towns of Williston and South Burlington.
Returning as members, SBPA welcomes Chiropractic for Kids and Adults, the former Dr Peet Chiropractic.
