The CSSU Buccaneer team headed to Milton for its annual football jamboree on Saturday, Aug. 24. While there, they played a scrimmage against St. Johnsbury’s Rodliff Raiders.

Buccaneer’s quarterback Trè Diemer is the nephew of the late Jeff Rodliff, a past quarterback for the Raiders who died tragically in 2005 of carbon monoxide poisoning at UVM Redstone apartments. Coach Palmieri gave a brief speech, emphasizing Jeff’s impact on the team and how they came to be the Rodliff Raiders. Palmieri concluded his speech by introducing Shelburne residents Mike Diemer (Jeff’s brother) and Trè Diemer to the team.
