Six Cub Scouts and four leaders from Pack 607 attended the BSA Green Mountain Council Camp Sunrise in Benson, Vt. in late July as part of their summer program.  The boys, ages 8 to 11, enjoyed camp craft, nature program, archery, woodcraft, BB guns, field sports, swimming, canoeing, and camping in the lakeside campsite. For the older boys preparing to enter Boy Scouts in 2014, they added an overnight hike and camping under the stars.  When asked for the goals of the week at Camp, Cubmaster David Buley said, “We strive to return the boys to their parents having learned a bit during a week of fun.  If we do it well – and I think we did this summer – we hand back exhausted, happy, and smiling kids.”
