Has Shelburne gone to the dogs?

Aug-5-F-Automaster-SAn exact replica of Jack DuBrul’s miniature schnauzer complete with tennis ball and bandana has recently been constructed at the corner of Bay Road and Route 7 in Shelburne. The oversized dog, known as Klaus, made of hay bales, mesh wiring, and a lot of latex paint by Wyatt Vincent of Vergennes and two employees took an entire day to complete. Klaus not only welcomes everyone to town he is also a reminder that the Shelburne Museum goes to the Dogs event planned for Sept. 8 is upon us. “My dad thought of the idea and I helped make it a reality,” said the Automaster’s John DuBrul III, a proud sponsor of the annual event.
