Last year, the Chittenden South Burlington Hockey Association (CSB) started their first ever U8 girls program in an effort to expand girls hockey. It was a huge success with a lot of new girls learning how to skate and play hockey. Most importantly, these girls had a lot of fun, made new friends, and are returning this year.

Back by popular demand, this year’s event will take place on Saturday, Sept.21 from 12:40-1:40 pm at Cairns Arena Rink One. All your daughter needs is:

  • Helmet (ski, bike, hockey)
  • Gloves (winter, hockey)
  • Skates (your own, free rentals for the event)
  • Hockey stick (your own or what we provide)
  • A big smile on her face

Music will be played throughout the session to add to the fun. For those that have never skated before, St. Michael’s women hockey players will be on hand to help participants keep their balance as they skate. Parents are also welcome to assist on ice as needed.

Try to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to ice time to register and to collect information regarding the hockey program. Last year, there were so many people lined up to register that many girls were delayed. We want to avoid that scenario this year so all the girls can enjoy the full hour of skating.
