Dorothy Cecile (Tetreau) Sansoucy, born in Somersworth, N.H., on Nov. 22, 1919, to the late Augustus Tetreau and Olida Lapointe, passed away in Orlando, Fla., on July 16, 2013, at the home of her daughter and sonin-law, Claire and Denis Roy, who were at Dorothy’s side along with her son, Marc Sansoucy. She worked in Dover, N.H., in a manufacturing business, before she married Armand Joseph Sansoucy on May 6, 1950, and moved to Vermont. They were married 52 years, until her husband predeceased her. She worked at Shelburne Museum and Bridal Shop on Church Street in Burlington, and also at UVM. She loved to cook and loved music, played piano, and ballroom danced with her father and husband. She had a deep faith and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, and was a Lady of St. Anne. She loved life, laughter and having fun, was always helpful, lending a hand where needed. She had a beautiful smile and was a loving and kind person. Dorothy is survived by two sisters-in-law, Theresa Sansoucy of Winooski, and Alice (the late Roland) Martel of Manchester, N.H.; two children, Claire M.S. (Denis) Roy, and Marc A. Sansoucy, of Orlando, Fla.; one granddaughter, Denise C. Roy; two greatgranddaughters, Destinee Janae Roy, and Alishea Rose Roy, of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her two sisters and their husbands, Yvonne (Tony) Lemelin, and Lorraine (Albert) Dion. She will be greatly missed.
