If you like bowling, food, and laughter, you’re in luck. Champlain Lanes in Shelburne will be offering a regular comedy series this fall and winter in its newly renovated lounge space.

“Laughs at the Lanes” will be produced by Burlington-based Vermont Comedy Club, and it will bring comedy to Champlain Lanes’ lounge twice a month, from September through the end of the year.

“We’re excited to be producing comedy at Champlain Lanes,” says organizer Nathan Hartswick. “We have some of Vermont’s funniest standup comedians taking the stage the second Saturday of the month. And every fourth Saturday, we’ll be featuring Whose Line is it, Anyway-style improv comedy.”

Champlain Lanes manager Dylan Longe is enthusiastic, too. “Our new lounge looks great, and this a fun, inexpensive way to spend a night out with friends and family. Folks can come for a round or two of bowling, and stay for dinner and a comedy show.”

An improv show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 9 pm. Shows are 21+ for mature themes, and the cover charge is $5. Plan ahead for Standup Comedy slated for Saturday, Oct. 12. For more information, visit www.vermontcomedyclub.com.
