Local elected to New York Life’s National Agents Advisory Council

Shelburne resident Jim Cohen, a New York Life Agent for 12 years, was recently elected to the Agents Advisory Council (AAC) at an awards and recognition educational conference. Founded in 1946, the AAC provides a forum for Agents and the New York Life Home Office to collaborate on ways to improve business practices and achieve shared goals. The 24 members of the AAC are elected by their peers and are among the most successful of New York Life’s elite sales force of 12,250 licensed agents. No other major life insurance company has a forum where elected Agent representatives can provide suggestions to, and work collaboratively with, Company Executives.

Cohen is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He received a B.S. from The State University of New York at Buffalo and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. He also serves on the United Way of Chittenden County’s campaign cabinet.
