ECHO AfterDark presents Celebrate (Hard) Cider

Hard cider has come a long way over the last few years and has quickly become one of the fastest growing beverage categories in the industry. On Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7-9 pm, ECHO friends from the 21 plus crowd will learn about the science, artistry and flavors of hard cider from some of the industry’s best hard cider makers of the region.

Nine cider houses converge at ECHO and provide tastings of over 25 types of hard cider. Learn the science of what it takes to make great cider from these cider makers and tasting experts.

Presenters:
Anne Whyte, Vermont Homebrew Supply – Making your own hard cider
Albert Leger, Eden Ice Cider – Ice Cider: history, process, chemistry
Bryan Holmes, Citizen Cider – Analytics, controls, and chemistry involved in commercial production of cider.
PLUS an Orchardist – History of cider-making, heirloom apple varieties, and the economics of cider apple orchards.

Tickets include all talks and demonstrations, a souvenir tasting glass, and 10 complimentary tastings. Tickets are $20 for ECHO members and $25 for non-members. Food pairings provided by award-winning Sugarsnap will be available as well.
