Shelburne Players begin rehearsals for “Chapter Two”

O-1-A-Shelburne-Players-SCast members L-R: Alise Certa, Nan Murat, Josh McDonald, and Jon Van Luling practice their lines and blocking for Shelburne Player’s fall comedy, “Chapter Two” by Neil Simon, presented at Shelburne Town Center Nov. 8 through 16. Neil Simon’s loosely-autobiographical play revolves around recent widower George Schneider, who is encouraged by his younger brother Leo to start dating again. After a series of bad matches, Leo comes up with Jennie Malone, and she’s a keeper. But it’s still a bumpy trip on the road to “Dreamland,” as George and Jennie stumble on with their hesitations and emotional neediness while on the rebound. The New York Post called the play “lovely and whimsical … touching and always funny … most of the time down right hilarious.” Tickets will be available for purchase at Shelburne Supermarket and for online reservations soon.
