Every year, the Champlain Valley Quilter’s Guild chooses a show theme for their quilt show.  The theme for the 2012 show was “Vermont Traditions.”

This year’s quilt show, “Inspired by Color,” will be held at the Field House in Shelburne on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 am-5 pm and Sunday, Oct. 20, from 10 am-4 pm and will include theme quilts that express guild members’ concepts of color in quilt designs. The work of our guild members will be highlighted this year in special exhibits that include quilts by Anne Standish and her students, Sue McGuire’s Friendship Quilts, and Andre Emmell’s work with Quilts of Valor – a program that provides quilts to wounded veterans.

The Champlain Valley Quilter’s Guild is a non-profit organization of over 250 quilters with an educational and charitable mission. For more information about the guild, visit www.cvqgvt.org.
