The Lake Champlain Land Trust is offering a free, family-friendly, naturalist-led tour of the protected wildlife habitat area along the Laplatte River this Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 am. Land Trust naturalists will lead the walk looking for animal tracks and discussing recent river restoration efforts. Interested hikers should meet at the UpperLaplatte Natural Area at 10 am for an easy hike followed by an annual meeting. The hike is free, but registration is required and space is limited.
