Treat yourself and your family to a delicious dinner at Cucina Antica Thursday, Nov. 7 and support Shelburne Troop 602’s efforts to travel to France next year. Order pizza to-go or sit down for a meal in the restaurant, and 20 percent of all proceeds will go to help Shelburne Boy Scout Troop 602’s “Normandy 2014” fundraising campaign.
In April 2014, Shelburne Troop 602 will participate in the Omaha Beach Camporee in Normandy, France. The camporee is held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of World War II. The troop will fly to London to visit World War II museums and other attractions and then head south to Normandy aboard a ferry, retracing the route of the 1944 invading forces. For more information on the trip and other fundraisers, please visit www.troop602.wordpress.com/normandy2014-2.
Cucina Antica is the first dine-out fundraiser. Visit the Troop 602 website, read the Shelburne News, or check Front Porch Forum to find out which restaurant will be hosting the December fundraiser.
Be sure to mention Troop 602 when ordering your delicious dinner.
