CVU reigns for tenth year

O-5-S-XC-State-Champions-SCThe Champlain Valley Union girls cross country team captured their tenth Division I crown in 11 years at the state meet in Thetford on Saturday, Oct. 26. Autumn Eastman seized the individual crown in 18:47.4 followed by Sophia Gorman, sixth, Emma Putre, 10th, Carly Neeld, 12th, and Haley Harder 13th. The boys team finished  behind state champions South Burlington. Top runners were Zach Marshall, 8th, Tyler Marshall, 9th, Will Kay, 17th, Calvin McClellan, 20th, and Tyler Wong, 33rd. Both teams will compete at New England’s in Manchester, N.H. on Nov. 8.
