Vintage Fashion at High Tea, a premiere event to benefit the Burlington Emergency Shelter, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 pm at the DoubleTree Hotel’s Garden Ballroom in Burlington. This live, antique fashion show will showcase Lorette Sousie’s private collection, featuring 27 local models wearing over 75 fashions from the 1890s through the 1980s. The event will also feature classical music played by Lake Champlain Waldorf School musicians: Gianna Kiehl and Rosa Dews on violin, Oliver Scanlon on viola, and Eli Favro on cello.
It will be a relaxing afternoon, reminiscent of a bygone era, with stunning fashions from the Turn of the Century. Participants will enjoy sipping teas and tasting treats while bidding on silent auction items that any collector or art enthusiast would enjoy.
Period attire is encouraged. Tickets are limited and can be purchased in person through the Flynn Box Office at 153 Main Street in Burlington, online at www.flynntix.org, or by calling 86-FLYNN.
The Waldorf School looks forward to continuing to build its community through this special, once-in-a-lifetime event.
