Bolton Valley After-school Ski & Snowboard Program registration now open for 7th and 8th graders. Registration for 5th and 6th graders for any remaining spots will open Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 am. Early registrations will not be accepted. This program has a limited number of seats on the bus and may fill before the deadline. No refunds will be given after the registration deadline of Dec. 13. The 2014 session dates are Fridays, Feb. 7, 14, 21 and March 7 and 14. A special Bolton registration form must be used for this program.

Youth Basketball registration deadline is Nov. 20. This non-competitive program is open to kids in grades 1-8. It will run from Dec. 14 to Feb. 15, 2014. First and 2nd grade teams are co-ed and will practice and scrimmage on Saturday mornings. Grades 3-8 will have separate girls and boys teams that practice one night a week with games on Saturday mornings against other Town’s Recreation teams both in and out of Shelburne. $36 fee includes a t-shirt. Volunteer coaches are needed.

VASTA Youth SPARQ (Speed Power Agility Reaction and Quickness): Professional strength and conditioning coaches will stimulate, motivate, and educate young people in the areas of fitness and nutrition for overall well-being. Learn form, function, and injury prevention strategies while increasing coordination, self-confidence, endurance, flexibility, and lean muscle. VASTA’s approach is to shape the interest of young athletes and non-athletes in the development of fitness. Workouts are adjusted to the individual fitness level. For students in grades 6-8. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:10-4 pm, $100 per session. The next session will be Nov. 12-Dec. 12 (no class week of Thanksgiving) at the VASTA Facility at the Shelburne Field House Complex. Register through Shelburne Rec.
