David A. Welsh, 33, died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013. He was born on March 30, 1980, in Burlington, the son of John and Jeannine (Gameline) Welsh. He attended Shelburne schools and CVU. He also attended East Coast Aero-Tech School and worked for Continental Airlines. David was a certified A.P. Mechanic. Dave has been working with his father, John, for five years at The Town Cobbler in Williston. Dave was an honorary member of the Marine Corps League, for all of his work with Toys for Kids and other volunteering. David was like his mother, a gentle soul and maybe took life too seriously and made a Cursillo. He had a daily mediation routine with the Holy Spirit, always searching for something. Hopefully he found peace. He is survived by his father and best friend, John Welsh of Shelburne; aunt, Joyce Garber of Arizona; aunt, Pauline and uncle, Reggie Maynard, of Winooski; best friends, George Ellwood of St. Albans, and Jared Place of Winooski; and his dog, Ginger. He was predeceased by his mother, Jeannine, in 2007; and sister, Celeste, in 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 72 Church St., Shelburne. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, from 3 to 6 pm at the Shelburne Funeral Chapel of Corbin and Palmer Funeral Homes, 209 Falls Road, Shelburne.
