The Middlebury women’s cross country team won its 12th New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Harness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn.

The Middlebury women placed five of its runners among the top nine; Erzsebeth Nagy lead the effort with a second place overall finish in 21:27. Alison Maxwell earned a third-place finish in 21:43. Racers seven through nine finished within two seconds of one another. Emily Singer finished first in 21:49, Sarah Guth followed with a time of 21:51.6, and Katie Rominger placed ninth in 21:51.7. Katherine Tercek finished 11th, 21:56, and Summer Spillane placed 12th in 22:07.
