During the first week of December, the new Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education will be humming with holiday-themed art activities, games, and live music. The Center will be a sight to behold, bedecked with 10 live holiday trees, one of them 12 feet tall, each decorated in a different theme inspired by the museum’s collections.
“Deck the Halls is a great way for the whole family to get in the holiday spirit. We are inviting visitors to create ornaments and participate in decorating our Community tree,” said Karen Petersen, director of education. “Another highlight of the week will be different musical performances each day that include everything from hand bells to choirs to several a cappella groups from Saint Michael’s and Middlebury colleges.”
Other activities during the week include a special holiday “I Spy” game, candy cane hunt, DIY holiday cards, snow globes, and gift boxes.
